This section of the website provides information for Parents and Carers on how we support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. All schools are required to publish this information as part of the SEND Code of Practice.

This report complies with section 69(2) of the Children and Families Act 2014 and regulation 51 and schedule 1 of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014

Herbert Morrison Primary School is a one- form entry mainstream Primary School with a Nursery Class set in the centre of London. We are a community school maintained by London Borough of Lambeth. We are committed to raising achievements for all of our pupils including those with special educational needs.

We believe it is important to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and we are supported by the Local Authority to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school.

The school will meet the needs of children with the following SEND:

  • Cognition and learning
  • Social, mental and emotional health
  • Sensory /physical
